1. Passover
In the wake of Caesar's murder, Mark Antony wants to flee to the North and raise an army, but Octavian, named Caesar's son and heir, argues it would be best for them to remain in Rome, and devises a cunning plan that allows them to turn the tide of public feeling against Brutus and his men. Meanwhile, Lucius Vorenus, who has descended into a state of madness following his wife's death, issues a curse he soon regrets, the consequences of which lead to further tragedy.
2. Son of Hades
Cleopatra arrives in Rome to pay her respects to Caesar and to gain legitimacy for her young son, Caesarion. Under Antony's orders, Vorenus and Pullo take control of the warring Aventine Collegium. Stonewalled in his attempts to secure his inheritance, Octavian takes out a loan to pay off Caesar's promise to the people, and incurs Antony's brutal wrath. |
