| DECEIVER is an intriguing psychological thriller about a brilliant murder suspect who plays games with the slippery nature of truth. Wayland (Tim Roth) is a Charleston blueblood suspected in the brutal murder of a prostitute (Renee Zellweger), but the cops can't pin the crime on him. Detectives Braxton (Chris Penn) and Kennesaw (Michael Rooker) subject the cool and arrogant Wayland to a series of polygraph interrogations hoping to find his weaknesses.
